Isla Mujeres – The first “bad” one

Mom

I was in Mexico on holiday, enjoying the party on the beach one second, and out of nowhere (10+ minutes after ingestion) *blam* the world began collapsing around me. There was this aggressive spinning out until things just became incredibly amorphous. There were no longer “things” but molecules randomly floating around and eventually an hourglass with bits of sand, I could not make out sights, but luckily could clearly hear voices. At that point, I was convinced this was somehow the end, this is where I turned back into the sand and this was what I was in this state to understand.

As it continued, I slowly started to regain sight and began to be aware *physically* where I was.

My friends were somehow alerted to me being “gone” and I can vivibly remember slowly exiting the state, being held by a friend telling me it was going to be ok, they were here for me, it would be over soon.

What’s remains truly terrifying, to this day, is that I didn’t do anything more than my normal amount that just makes things a little quirky, or a little more intensified. It just *hit* and I had no idea what to do (and still, when this happens at a club, do not).
